Abstract
Mycotic aneurysm is an uncommon but very important complication of subacute infectious endocarditis. It is usually asymptomatic but often causes sudden and massive bleeding with high mortality rate. 99mTc-RBC scan is a noninvasive method for detection of mycotic aneurysm throughout the body. In this report two cases with mycotic aneurysm are presented and the usefulness of 99mTc-RBC scan in diagnosis of this disease process is discussed.
